As Sales and Prices for New Homes Rise, Many Consider Renovations Instead

Provider of home renovations in Perth reveals how residents are getting more house for less money.
Perth, WA, June 20, 2013 - In January, the 2012 quarterly housing statistics were released by the Housing Industry Association. In news that was seen as good for the housing industry, the statistics indicated that new home sales are on the increase.

The Housing Industry Association determined that the total adjusted sales for new homes had risen by 4.2% within the last three months of the previous year. The gross total gain was about a 10% increase and the figures for detached house sales and sales on multi-units were 4% and 4.9% respectively.

Broken down by region, sales from detached houses increased by 13.2% in South Australia, 7.6% in Western Australia, 23.7% in New South Wales, and 10.8% in Victoria. Queensland was the only region to have a surprising decrease in such sales, losing 3.1% compared to the previous quarter.

These findings mark a substantial upturn for the real estate economy and many hope that this increase will continue well into this year. Despite these amounts of prosperity, the housing market is far from perfect and still more recovery needs to be completed to make it to an acceptable degree. That being said, this is a definite step in the right direction and it provides hope that things are looking up for the housing field and its consumers.

However, while the numbers constitute good news for the real estate market, they can also cause a number of potential problems for consumers and families looking for new living conditions. The increase in housing sales means an increase in prices and a decrease in availability.

Luckily, Next Level Extensions has the solution to this. A company that specialises in renovations, improvements, and house extensions in Perth and surrounding areas, they provide the means and all else for additions on houses, including ground floor extensions, the adding of a second floor, and outdoor area revamping.

Craig Johns, Director of Next Level Extensions, believes that the time to renovate is now. “With all of the increase in housing costs, improving what you have is more cost efficient than buying and moving into a larger home.”

“Home extensions are also less stressful than the hassle involved with finding a new house or building one from scratch. If it’s the perfect home you’re looking for, then why start over when you can improve what you have and make it perfect?” He continues by saying that renovation is easier and cheaper than the costs and pains of moving.

Next Level Extensions has been in the business of making houses and homes just the way people want them for decades now: “We have an excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff that will make it as easy as possible to renovate your home. You will definitely be in the best hands with us.”

By limiting the number of projects ongoing in a home at any given time, Next Level Extensions ensures that each individual project is completed in a timely manner with the utmost quality rather than trying to do too much at once and “spreading themselves thin” as a consequence.

“This alone makes it a better alternative to completely moving yourselves. Remember that sometimes it’s not about relocation, it’s about renovation; that may be what’s best for your family,” Johns declares.
