Broken down by region, sales from detached houses increased by 13.2% in South Australia, 7.6% in Western Australia, 23.7% in New South Wales, and 10.8% in Victoria. Queensland was the only region to have a surprising decrease in such sales, losing 3.1% compared to the previous quarter.
These findings mark a substantial upturn for the real estate economy and many hope that this increase will continue well into this year. Despite these amounts of prosperity, the housing market is far from perfect and still more recovery needs to be completed to make it to an acceptable degree.
