Managing your business on the go with the latest Mobile Workforce Management applications

Announcement posted by Mitrefinch 20 Jun 2013

Manage your mobile workforce regardless of their physical location
More workers than ever are working from home, on the road, even while travelling from location to location. Yet in a recent report commissioned by Canon Australia more than 50% of employees surveyed can’t access work-related information when they are out of the office.

The survey of 1506 Australian senior decision makers found that businesses are losing up to $20,000 annually due to poor mobile information management, with some respondents advising that this could be in excess of $50,000.

Almost half of the senior managers surveyed also wish they could edit, review, and action business documents and information on their mobile devices.

Acknowledging the rise of the anywhere employee, Mitrefinch have developed a number of mobile workforce applications to compliment their suite of Employee Time and Attendance solutions.

Designed to improve workplace productivity, these mobile applications make it easier for supervisors, managers and employees to complete a wide range of work related and administrative tasks from any location, at any time.

Employees simply utilise the mobile devices they are already familiar with to clock in and out of work, assign their time to specific jobs or cost centres, request leave, and review their work information and entitlements, regardless of their physical location.

In turn, the information collected by Mitrefinch mobile workforce management tools allows managers to effectively monitor and track their remote or field staff, providing an accurate analysis of real-time employee activity and ensuring that labour-related costs are genuine. Supervisors also have the ability to check off anomalies and approve or reject leave requests on the go.

“With the emergence of smart mobile technology we no longer need to be tied to the office to conduct business,” said Jamie Fitzsimons, Marketing Manager for Mitrefinch Australasia. “Our mobile workforce and time and attendance applications have been specifically designed with both employees and managers in mind, arming them with the tools and information to be productive and connect from anywhere, anytime.”

Mitrefinch currently provides Workforce Time Management solutions to more than 3,500 organisations worldwide, with almost 400 clients across Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea utilising their Time and Attendance and Clocking systems.
