Annual product training linked to sales success, says Seeley International

Announcement posted by Leverage PR 24 Jun 2013

Seeley International has celebrated a major milestone, training more than 15,000 people from Broome to Brisbane in its various heating and cooling products over the last decade.

Founder and Executive Chairman, Mr Frank Seeley AM said the organisation conducted national training sessions on its product range twice yearly, to nearly 1000 technical experts, dealers, installers, sales people and system designers employed by businesses that sell Seeley International products.

“We take great pride in providing the best support in the industry to the broader Seeley International family, by sharing our knowledge, so that customers can deal with professionals of the highest competency in our full range of products, thus enabling our customers to get exactly what they need and precisely when they need it,” Mr Seeley said.

“Our service managers across Australia provide no-cost product training to staff from companies that purchase products either directly or indirectly so they enable those who are on the front line to do their job better than others can,” he said.

“It is wonderful to have achieved the milestone of having trained 15,000 people and it demonstrates that the leaders in every section of our business – from engineering, development, manufacturing, and ultimately to sales and service – are all contributing so effectively to our success.”

Mr Seeley said that it was critical to develop hands-on, practical training packages for all new products being developed by Seeley International.

“Our commitment to research and development means that we are pushing the boundaries and delivering products to the market that have never been seen before, and when we do that, we have to make sure we also provide training for our entire dealer and service network,” Mr Seeley said.

“We also invest heavily in training our staff, and many of them recently completed the Certificate 4 in Business Sales, which TAFESA is conducting through the support of our State Government,” he said.

“As well as on-the-job experience, we ensure workplace training also addresses the needs of the individual, and therefore we have staff participate in quality management and customer service training, as well as specific information technology and software applications.”

This training milestone tops off a year of major achievements for Seeley International, which included the release of the Braemar “Super-Six” ducted gas heater as the most energy-efficient conventional ducted gas heater in the world.

“With so much development of new products it can be quite a challenge to make sure people are constantly provided with training opportunities - and delivering on our commitment to staff and all those working throughout our distribution network, is another reason why Seeley International has earned its reputation as the market leader and employer of choice,” Mr Seeley said.
