San Remo Brand Advocates make Lasagna cool again

When Australians think about lasagna, their thoughts are warm and comfortable. But perhaps over the years our relationship with lasagna has become too comfortable – perhaps we are taking lasagna for granted. A group of San Remo brand advocates are about to change all that; reminding us that Lasagna is sexy, adaptable, flexible and interesting. They are making a nice warm lasagna cool again!

“Australians have a fairly fixed idea of what a Lasagna is” says Mr Michael Neale, Chief Marketing Officer at San Remo. “They see it as something convenient that they can make or buy pre-made, they can order it in a pub, and they have it as winter comfort food. But I think the average Australian has forgotten how versatile lasagna is. It doesn’t have to be made in any one way. There are loads of different recipes out there.”

San Remo brand advocates, led by celebrity chef Adam Swanson, have just completed filming a series of recipes to remind people of that versatility. Recipes include- gym junkie, gluten-free, dairy free, vegetarian, gourmet versions and even dessert lasagnas.

“San Remo wanted to demonstrate the different ways to use lasagna so we challenged four of our brand advocates – Adam Swanson, Michael Weldon, Kerry Leech and Natalie von Bertouch – to come up with a number of meal options that people can create at home,” Mr Neale said.

“The results have been outstanding, and in addition to being available on the San Remo website, each of the recipes has been loaded onto YouTube so an amateur chef can watch every step needed to create an amazing meal,” he said.

San Remo also wanted to remind people how to create a tasty meal for a family of four without sacrificing on taste and quality. The Affordable Lasagna recipe produces a quick and easy meal for under $12.

San Remo Brand Ambassador and celebrity chef Adam Swanson said the various lasagna recipes offered perfect meal options for busy people wanting to expand their pasta palate but still make food which is quick and easy to prepare.

“Making lasagna does not have to be a laborious process, and these recipes show people how to make different styles of lasagna that are quick and easy using quality San Remo pasta to produce a brilliant result,” Adam said.

The lasagna recipes include:

·         ‘Do it without Dairy’ Lasagna – because nothing spoils a great meal more than an allergic reaction.
