Australian social start-up DIGIVIZER adds new business, new people

Announcement posted by Digivizer 23 Jul 2013

Sydney, 19 July 2013 - Australian social media technology start-up DIGIVIZER, operating at the intersection of social, big data and CRM, is expanding on the back of growing business.

The company maps the Australian social media user landscape and links this directly to customers’ CRM systems, serving up trigger-based leads and insights so that companies can direct their sales and marketing programmes more profitably.

DIGIVIZER has recently won new business in the Australian telco, tourism, motorist services and retail sectors, and is now recruiting the next intake of employees.

Social media commentator Tony Hollingsworth (@hollingsworth) is joining DIGIVIZER as its Head of Community. He will provide thought leadership around “social selling”, how this can provide the foundations for meaningful and valuable customer relations, and will focus on new business development directly for DIGIVIZER. Most recently Tony ran the social engagement programmes for CeBIT Australia and Saasu.

In recognition of the increase in customers, Karen Beard is joining as Customer Projects Manager and will be responsible for managing the increase in DIGIVIZER’s service delivery to customers.

Zubin Fitter joins as DIGIVIZER's first regional business partner, responsible for business development and customer relations in WA & SA.

Quotes from Emma Lo Russo, CEO of DIGIVIZER

“We are thrilled that some of Australia’s best-known companies have embraced the unique offering of  DIGIVIZER with enthusiasm and are incorporating this into their business in increasingly sophisticated new ways. We have always advocated linking the social web, and the intelligence contained in it, to business results, and are delighted that we are able to help make a difference to companies’ understanding of their customers, their markets and their opportunities, ultimately helping them generate more business.”

“Our recent growth has been a real endorsement of the technical ability and vision of the DIGIVIZER team. Whilst we recognize there is so much more opportunity for us to harness, that we have developed our IP and technology here in Australia and are taking it to market is an exhilarating feeling.”
