I wanted to send across some info on Take3’s Sand Soldiers campaign that I thought would make a great piece.
Every year 6 million tonnes of debris enters our oceans and waterways, ending up on our beaches and killing over 1 million sea creatures including – turtles, whales, dolphins and birds by ingesting plastic. Take3 is an organisation that simply asks you to take 3 pieces of rubbish with you every time you visit a beach or waterway. Take 3 are now on the quest to gain 300,000 clean beach ambassadors or SAND SOLDIERS.
Take 3 have partnered with start-up, online, crowd funding platform JUMPSTARTZ as their launch program to develop the SAND SOLDIERS campaign, JUMPSTARTZ officially launches on Wednesday 31 July.
The SAND SOILDERS initiative aims to raise $50,000 in donations and resources to fund 12 interactive, online video tutorials and teaching resources that will be used to educate individuals, students, business and organisations around the globe on TAKE 3’s message.
I’d love to offer you the opportunity to interview both Take3 Founder, Tim Silverwood and Sand Soldiers celebrity ambassador Analise Braakensiek on the Sand Soldiers initiative.
