Melbourne, AUSTRALIA – TCL Electronics, one the world’s top three biggest television manufacturers, today announced its latest range of televisions for the Australian market, headlined by its new 65-inch edge-lit LED 4K Ultra High Definition TV. Also announced today are TCL’s E5510 and F3500 series of LED HDTVs, ranging from 32-inch to 65-inch models.

4K Ultra High Definition technology delivers unprecedented picture quality and detail to Australian consumers, and with the inclusion of new local apps across its SMART TV’s and bigger screen sizes across its range, highlights TCL’s growing leadership in the Australian market.

In addition to the SBS on Demand and SMH.TV apps for Australian consumers, all new TCL SMART TVs will also feature the proprietary new ‘Nscreen’ feature, enabling consumers to wirelessly share media from mobile devices directly to their TV via a free downloadable Android app.

TCL E5691 65-inch 4K Ultra HD

The 65-inch TCL E5691 delivers next-generation 4K Ultra High Definition picture quality in an attractive LED Edge-Lit SMART 3D TV. It delivers stunning 4096x2160 resolution to provide consumers with spectacular picture quality with four times the resolution of Full HD (1080p), and upscales HD content - TV shows and movies (both Blu-rays & DVDs) to 4K to provide enhanced picture quality, sharper detail and contrast.

The 65-inch TCL E5691 will be available from mid-September with a recommended retail price of $4999.

TCL E5510 and F3500 Series

TCL has today also unveiled its E5510 and F3500 series of 1080p, edge-lit LED HDTVs. These models offer an ultra-thin bezel and sleek design with a modern gun metal grey finish on an elegant glass base.

Both series offers brilliant picture quality, SMART TV and 3D technology and attractive design, delivering the complete home theatre experience in a large, premium display but at highly compelling, cost effective options for Australian consumers.

The E5510 will be available in 32 (not 3D, $549), 40 ($899), 46 ($1199), 50 ($1399) and 55-inch ($1599) from mid-September.

The 55-inch and 65-inch F3500 will be available from mid-September with a recommended retail price of $1399 and $2699 respectively.

The new Australian range comes off the back of unprecedented growth for TCL nationally over the last 12 months as well as significant growth in China and around the world. Last month TCL ranked in the top three in global LCD TV market share according to the latest DisplaySearch report, including maintaining their number one position in China. TCL’s global monthly sales of LCD TVs in the first five months of 2013 totaled more than 7 million sets, up by 24.9% compared to the same time last year.
