Time-poor Aussie punters have a new weapon in online odds comparison at their disposal with the launch of Australia’s first dedicated bookmaker comparison website BestOdds.com.au last week.

BestOdds.com.au processes 16 million odds fluctuations every single day from every major bookmaker in Australia, showing users a price change in just 1-2 seconds.

Built on advanced stock market technologies, the website can handle up to 2 million visitors each day and gives punters the option to register for free real-time alerts when their bet comes up.

BestOdds.com.au is the brainchild of Queensland tech-entrepreneur and former Microsoft developer, Luc Pettett who was fed up with visiting multiple websites to compare odds.

Mr Pettett says he created the website to provide the Australian betting community with a fast, easy to use, one-stop-shop to compare odds from 11 bookies, 21 sports and close to 300 markets.

“BestOdds.com.au is dedicated to helping Aussie punters secure the best price available in one place. The average Australian punter has 2 betting accounts with a corporate bookmaker and people want information fast,” Mr Pettett said.

“We’ve created a responsive, mobile friendly website that is geared to the punter using their phone to check the odds before placing a bet.”

Mr Pettett explains how Best Odds works. “Let’s say I want to put a $10 bet on St Kilda this Friday to beat Hawthorn, so I check the odds on two popular betting sites. With Sportsbet.com.au, I’d win $100 yet with Bet365 I’d win $130. Comparing the odds means you would profit by an additional $30. BestOdds.com.au lets punters find all of the odds in one place, saving them time and improving their position when betting,” he said.

“We have a very clear focus on giving punters the best possible odds and incentives before choosing which bookmaker to bet with. We want this product to become the leading comparison tool in Australia.”

“For too long Australians have been just betting with whoever has the best commercial on TV. We want punters to make an informed decision and have a little bit of fun doing it,” Mr Pettett said.
