Ingram Micro launches new Ingram Micro VMware ACCELERATE program for resellers

Leverages successful platform to deliver sales enablement, training, certification and strategic support to VMware resellers
Sydney, Australia, 8 August, 2013. Ingram Micro, Australia’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, announced today the launch of a new Ingram Micro VMware ACCELERATE program to support its VMware resellers.

The Ingram Micro VMware ACCELERATE program offers a structured online product and sales training program for VMware resellers that’s designed to help them to grow their VMware business.

Lee Welch, Senior Business Manager Enterprise Software and Cloud Services at Ingram Micro, says the Ingram Micro VMware ACCELERATE program builds on the highly successful training and enablement programs that Ingram Micro has already introduced and is continuing to run – such as its Cloud Advance program.

Ingram Micro is also supporting resellers who sign up to the ACCELERATE program with a wealth of additional resources, activity and support including:
•    demand generation activity including outbound marketing, telemarketing and “lunch-and-learn” sessions for end-users
•    access to a dedicated BDM to assist resellers with business development strategy and planning
•    technical pre-sales support from Ingram Micro’s solutions architect team
•    access to advanced VMware expertise, tools and resources and
•    incentives to encourage and reward resellers for participating

“We’ve built a fantastic platform with these programs,” Welch says. “We spent a lot of time talking to resellers to understand what they really needed to help them grow their business, and how we could deliver this to them in a way that makes it easy for them to consume, and delivers real results.”

Welch says that understanding then enabled Ingram Micro to build a platform to deliver all the necessary components– online training, support, accreditation, tools and resources, incentive programs, special pricing etc – in a structured program that generates tangible results.

“It’s the combination of all of these components that really delivers the value,” Welch says. “We’re able to help resellers to up-skill on the technical and sales side while at the same time applying that learning to growing their sales pipelines and adding margin. We’ve seen some fantastic results with our other programs, and I fully expect our new Ingram Micro VMware ACCELERATE program will be every bit as successful. We’re very excited to be launching it.”

The launch of Ingram Micro’s new Ingram Micro VMware ACCELERATE program comes on the back of a successful year for Ingram Micro with VMware. Ingram Micro Australia was awarded both the Asia Pacific Distributor of the Year and Global Distributor of the Year awards at VMware’s Partner Exchange event in February this year.
