Announcement posted by Paclink 14 Aug 2002

Paclink has announced the release of RAD Data Communications FCD-IPM E1/T1 Modular Integrated Access Device, which provides voice and data connectivity over E1 or T1 facilities based on proven TDM technology. The FCD-IPM is a member of RADs successful FCD line of TDM integrated access devices.

Cost Effective Solution for Convergent Service Providers

"The FCD-IPM is a cost-effective solution particularly suited on the SME/SOHO market segment, which is characterized by highly diversified customer requirements and an increasing demand for convergent services," said Craig Martyn, Managing Director, Paclink. "The FCD-IPM enables service providers to bundle voice services and Internet access over a single E1/T1 line. Thus, carriers can provide quality voice and data services to business customers without major investments in network infrastructure," said Martyn. Moreover, the modular, field-upgradable design of the FCD-IPM provides carriers with the flexibility to respond quickly to changing customer needs.

Robust Functionality with built-In IP Capabilities

The FCD-IPM includes two expansion slots, enabling it to support up to 12 analog voice ports or three sub-E1/T1 ports, a 4-port internal switch and a universal data port. It also includes a built in IP access router. On three WAN side, the FCD-IPM supports E1/T1 or fractional E1/T1 over copper or fibre optic links, CSU/DSU for T1, optional LTU for E1, Frame Relay services and ISDN BRI for data services backup.

Available from Paclink, the FCD-IPM ranges from AUD$5000 (RRP).
