Announcement posted by Mitrefinch 23 Aug 2013
The Mercury Awards pay tribute to logistics and materials handling providers and independent companies who embrace innovation and best practice over a number of categories. Mitrefinch are finalists in the Technology Application award category, which acknowledges the positive impact their workforce management and mobile time and attendance solutions are having on the industry.
Mitrefinch systems are designed to easily manage and track a diverse, moving workforce. This technology is enabling organisations such as DB Schenker, AirRoad, SCT Logistics, Vawdrey Transport, Consort Express Lines, TNT Express, Geodis Wilson, Swire’s and Scott’s Refrigerated Freightways, to effectively monitor employees’ worked-hours, labour costs and schedules, while ensuring they are adhering to fair work legislation, industry awards and fatigue management requirements.
“In transport and logistics we know that every minute counts, yet it can be difficult for companies to forecast time and keep track of employees on a day-to-day basis” said Jamie Fitzsimons, Mitrefinch Marketing Manager. “For the past 30 years we have worked closely with leaders in the industry to develop specialised time and attendance systems designed to effectively monitor employee activity regardless of their physical location.”
“Being named as a finalist provides us with a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments to date, and acknowledge the hard work and efforts of our entire team, as well as our clients who are the driving force for continued innovation and technology development within Mitrefinch.”
The Mercury Awards will be held on September 12th at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf.
