Media Alert: International speaker to talk ‘chunkification’ at national software conference

Announcement posted by Reckon Limited 29 Aug 2013

Headlining this year’s Reckon National Conference is one of the world’s leading commentators on accounting industry trends, including chunkification, Doug Sleeter.

Doug Sleeter has said that chunkification, the splitting up of separate parts of overall business management systems, as well as zero entry, collaborative accounting and mobile are trends he feels “will fundamentally change the way small business owners, bookkeepers, accountants, and even taxing agencies, will use technology in their everyday activities.”

At Reckon’s national conference in September he will share how he sees these trends impacting the accounting profession the world over. He’ll also outline how accounting professionals can thrive by re-thinking and re-tooling and highlight how accounting professionals can develop new business models for working with clients collaboratively via the cloud.

Doug Sleeter is Founder of the Sleeter Group
, one of the largest groups of accounting software consultants to small businesses in the United States. He's been recognised as one of the "Top 25 Thought Leaders" in the accounting profession for the past several years by The CPA Practice Advisor and named one of Accounting Today's "Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting" each year since 2008.

Reckon National Conference will be held:

Melbourne Park Function Centre
Friday, 20 September 2013

The free one-day event for accounting professionals will also include a keynote address from Alan Oster, NAB’s Chief Economist, a first look at new modules for Reckon’s new cloud accounting solution, Reckon One, as well as more than a dozen work-shop sessions focused on new technology.
