Komosion wins AMI award for Digital Marketing excellence second year in a row

App to help in domestic violence crisis recognised


SYDNEY, Friday September 6, 2013: For the second year running strategic marketing agency Komosion has won the prestigious Australian Marketing Institute’s NSW award for excellence in digital marketing.

The company won the award for its work delivering Aurora, an iOS and Android App created for the NSW Department of Family and Community Services to assist people identify whether they are in an abusive relationship and, if so, what their options are.

The App has functionality in case of an emergency including an ability to connect with OOO, a domestic violence hotline or message an agreed array of friends.It was launched in May by the NSW Minister, the Hon Pru Goward, and has been down loaded by more than 2,300 people who have accessed the content on average four times.

The AMI judges praised the “sustainable results” of what they described as a highly worthwhile and engaging project.Komosion’s Managing Director said the award was testimony to both the vision of the NSW Government and its staff and Komosion’s technical and creative teams who created Aurora, offering people in troubled circumstances hope and “A New Dawn”.
