Initial phase of Ingram Micro’s Get Modern with Microsoft program kicks off with a nationwide roadshow
Sydney, Australia, 9 September, 2013. Ingram Micro, Australia’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, has launched a nationwide road-show as the first phase of its new Get Modern with Microsoft program.

Ingram Micro’s Get Modern with Microsoft program is designed to support resellers in helping their customers to upgrade and transition to Windows 8, Office 2013 and Windows Server 2012 on Windows 8 devices and arming them with the knowledge and expertise to aid customers in making that move.

Lee Welch, Senior Business Manager Enterprise Software and Cloud Services at Ingram Micro says the program has four main components:

- The SMB Solution Showcase - a nationwide roadshow
- Sales Enablement – online training and resources to help resellers to identify and close opportunities
- Business Development – support with marketing and resources for demand and lead generation
- Promoting Customer Success Stories – to showcase the end customer benefits that the new Microsoft technologies can deliver.

The key first step, says Welch, is demonstrating the benefits of these new technologies and showing resellers what solutions are possible.

“To understand that, you really need to see these devices and solutions first hand. That’s why we’ve kicked off this program with a nationwide roadshow. It gives our resellers an opportunity to see what’s possible and how they can leverage the power of these new technologies to deliver real value to their customers. And to meet with experts who can answer questions face-to-face.”

The roadshow sessions are being presented by Mark O’Shea, an expert in all things Microsoft and someone who’s well known to many in the channel. It kicked off in Adelaide and Perth last week and travels to Brisbane and Melbourne this week before wrapping up in Sydney on September 17th and 19th.

“We’ve had a great turnout to our first sessions in Adelaide and Perth last week, and feedback has been really positive,” says Welch. “Resellers are keen to see what’s possible and are inspired by what can be delivered with these new technologies.”

“They’re also very enthusiastic about the whole Get Modern with Microsoft program we’ve put together and the fact it gives them a structured program which combines technical, sales and business development training in an easily digestible format, and supports this with marketing and lead-generation to help them to drive business.”

Attendance at the roadshow sessions is free to Ingram Micro resellers, but Welch says bookings are filling up fast, so those wishing to come to sessions in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney will need to register quickly.

Ingram Micro resellers wishing to attend the roadshow and participate in the Get Modern with Microsoft program (which is also free for Ingram Micro resellers) can register online at Ingram Micro’s Get Modern website: http://getmodernwithingram.com.au
