Joondalup Resort brings high-end event amenities to the northern suburbs with the unveiling of their grand Lakeview Ballroom
JOONDALUP Resort’s new $12m Lakeview Ballroom – a stunning 500-seat function room with exceptional exterior and interior qualities – is ready for its October unveiling.
Designed by Christou, the high-tech purpose-built function venue features a 6-metre high, 23-metre wide frameless glass window overlooking the Resort’s world renowned 27 hole golf course.
“It adds a unique dimension to those extra special events in our northern suburbs,” said CEO Wayne Carroll. “And it introduces a new era to conferencing and entertainment in the region.”
Set in the beautiful, natural surroundings of the award-winning Resort, just 25 minutes from the city centre, the new Lakeview Ballroom offers the perfect alternative to traditional CBD venues.
Christou has extended the strong and bold architecture of the existing Resort, with its superb range of on-site facilities and accommodation, to complement the landscaped limestone quarry in a truly marvellous natural environment.
Four motorised screens, up to 6-metres wide, engage the Lakeview Ballroom guests while an internal glass-framed atrium provides an abundance of natural light enriching the spectacular sweeping vistas over the golf course.
At the touch of a button integrated LED colour-change lighting systems can dramatically enhance the walls and high ceiling, subtly transforming the mood and atmosphere of the vast interior space.
Joondalup’s Quarry course, recognised as one of the most stunning nine holes of golf in WA, now has its new function venue which promises to do the same for the meetings and conferencing industry.
The Lakeview Ballroom is much more than a dinner venue for 500. It adds further charm and glamour to the Resort’s existing Poolside Marquee, Boardrooms, Grand Ballroom and additional indoor/outdoor function spaces.
Joondalup is holding an Inaugural Ball to christen the ballroom on Saturday, 26th October. The gala includes silent and main auctions, door prizes, local entertainment and a three course meal by head chef Phil Waldron. Proceeds benefit Variety WA – The Children’s Charity and tickets are available through the resort.
