CANDICE LAKE JOINS FORCES WITH GENERAL PANTS FOR CANDIDATE

CANDIDATE is a tightly edited collection of the ‘must have’ pieces for the season which is further enforced when she shoots street style around the world; it’s about making the effortless street style seen on editors and bloggers worldwide accessible.

“It has been a wonderful experience designing a collection that was greatly inspired by, and created for, the women I see and photograph all over the world,” says Candice Lake.

“What also inspires me is when a girl pushes and experiments with new trends whilst always staying true to her own style. This combination mixed in with a lot of confidence is mesmerising and this is what really drove my debut solo collection, as well as elements from my favourite cities.

“The collection is incredibly polished, although with a sense of ease and fun that I think really represents Australian style and the girls I see and photograph on the streets that so inspire me.”

Made up of pieces that can be worn individually or styled back together to create a complete look, CANDIDATE includes a reversible bomber jacket, pencil skirt, 60s inspired mini dress, crop top, boyfriend shirt, vegan leather petal skirt, flippy shorts, photo print jumper and tee, felt fedora and a logo cap in a range of exclusive prints including digital floral and leopard with neon highlights.

“I’ve known Candice for eleven years now and have always noted her for her unique style and take on fashion. It’s come as no surprise to watch her morph from top Australian model, to photographer and now one of the recognisable style icons in the fashion world.
