Intersystems Formalises Operations in China

Announcement posted by Intersystems Group 08 Nov 2013

Intersystems, provider of ingenious operational business solutions and integrated information systems for airports and airlines around the world is proud to announce that Intersystems China Limited is fully operational marking an exciting milestone in their journey within China and reinforcing their commitment to the region and its rapidly developing aviation industry.

As a wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE), Intersystems China Limited has the ability to sign contracts in China, invoice in Chinese currency and charge VAT substantially decreasing the barriers to doing business in the region whilst simultaneously increasing their ability to service the region efficiently and effectively.

Intersystems journey within China started some 14 years ago, in 1999 with the successful implementation of RapidFIDS at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG). They've continued growing their presence ever since, establishing a dedicated office in Shanghai and growing their China based Team.

"With a range of projects under our belt, some of which include Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA), Kunming Changshui International Airport (KMG) and Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK) we see this as the next milestone on our journey within China," stated Bruce Allen, CEO for Intersystems.

"It reinforces our commitment to China, to the region and to the world. It will see us substantially better placed to service the region at a time when its growth is unmatched."

Intersystems China Limited was established on the 23 May 2013 with the remaining aspects of operationalisation being put in place for an August 'opening'.

An industry-leading supplier for over four decades, Intersystems are continuing to build their international reputation as providing must-have systems.
