Quick delivery for win in Uzbekistan

Intersystems has been selected to provide the Flight Information Display System to Urgench International Airport (UGC) in Urgench, Uzbekistan. 

After successfully delivering a similar project in Uzbekistan last year, Intersystems was selected to provide RapidFIDS to Urgench Airport as part of their terminal renovation project. 

"The project is not without its challenges, we're committed to a very short delivery which poses significant challenges when delivering a site in the US, much less one on the opposite side of the world," commented Rudy Jimenez, Intersystems USA Vice President of Operations, "but I can confirm that we are on schedule for our deadline."

Beyond its standard features, RapidFIDS native ability to display flight data to virtually any language was a driving force behind its selection - flight data will be available in English, Uzbek (the national language) and Russian (the common spoken language). 

"We're seeing good growth in the smaller, feeder airport market around the world," added Bruce Allen, Intersystems CEO.

"Feeder airports are fundamental to the overall success of the industry as a whole. We're actively working on several projects that will see increased access for feeder airports to mission critical systems like FIDS."
