About Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre
The existing Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre will remain open and fully operational until it closes for the redevelopment.

The New South Wales Government has embarked upon a billion-dollar plan to transform Darling Harbour into a new Sydney International Convention, Exhibition and Entertainment Precinct. The project will result in new world-class facilities for Sydney, to be constructed across a 20-hectare site that includes the location of the existing Centre.

Interim exhibition facilities will be provided at Glebe Island during the redevelopment period. Infrastructure NSW is overseeing the creation of Sydney Exhibition Centre at Glebe Island, which will be operated by AEG Ogden and is scheduled to open for the 2014 exhibition season.
