TodayCorp rolls out McDonalds online staff recruitment solution nationwide

Announcement posted by TodayCorp Pty Ltd 08 Mar 2006

TodayCorp, Asia Pacifics largest online learning, development and recruitment company, today released McDonalds online recruitment and staff induction platform to all 730 restaurants across Australia.
The platform, known as metime, is a fully integrated, multi-functional online recruitment, learning and communications solution that was piloted last year across McDonalds restaurants on the Central Coast in New South Wales with outstanding results.
Metime, is a total end-to-end online solution allowing candidates to apply and be assessed online, and then following a face to face interview, receive an online new employee orientation and induction program before they commence their first shift.
According to McDonalds Australia Vice President & Director People Resources Frank McManus, metime is proving to be an exciting and valuable initiative that frees up much needed resources and supports McDonalds e-People strategy.
The pilot demonstrated to us the huge potential of metime to not only help select and train the best crew online, but to also reduce the time and resources required to do it.
As a result of the pilot McDonalds Australia has been working closely with TodayCorp to increase the functionality and integration of metime before the national roll out.
The business case for metime is very strong. We see it as the backbone of our e-People strategy that will over time become a comprehensive training and communications tool for all managers and crew. McManus said.
Our challenge was to provide one recruitment and learning system that benefits not only managers but also our crew. Feedback from crew participating in the pilot clearly demonstrated that they found metime to be an easier and more effective way to apply for and be inducted into the restaurant.
A diverse range of retailers including Rebel Sport, Downtown Duty Free, Australian Kitchen Industries, Thrifty, The Perfume Connection and Angus & Robertson use TodayCorps learning and development services as their extended recruitment and training departments.
Our clients directly benefit from increased sales, reduced costs and increased compliance across their organisation, the Chief Executive of TodayCorp Mr. Joe Ward claims.
In fact, we have a unique blend of expertise and experience that we believe makes it impossible for any other company to match us on quality or value in the development and delivery of e-recruitment and e-learning solutions in the retail sector. He said.
