How to go from Broke to BMW, in 18 months

Shar, a mother from Queensland, chose not to go bankrupt after the Queensland floods indirectly affected her 2 Retail Businesses, leaving her with huge stock and debt, but instead worked towards reclaiming her financial independence and finally buying her brand new BMW. “Most business owners run from the people they owe money too, I built a relationship with them”, she says.  “One of my suppliers even put a smiley face on one of the statements with a quote that said, “not much left now”. “Suppliers just want their money and are normally happy to enter into an agreement, if you ask them”.

Shar said that these were the key strategies she used to reclaim her financial success:

·      Communicate with your Suppliers: Don’t hide from them as that just makes them mad. Tell them your plans and what you can afford to pay and when.

·      Think Outside Of The Box: Think of ways you can move the excess stock by contacting your top clients and offering them a discount.

·      Form Strategic Alliances: Find Businesses that share your target market and see how you can work closely together to deliver

·      Create A Vision Board: Visualising what you want in life is such a powerful tool

·      Have A Mentor: Everyone needs someone who has ‘been there, done that’ and to know that someone has your back. Dale Beaumont is my Business Mentor.
