Sony completes Stage One of patient infotainment solution at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse

Sydney, 17 December 2013Sony Australia, in partnership with Oneview Healthcare, today announcedthat it has completed Stage One of the comprehensive patient infotainment and integrated software solution at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. The project which included installing a patient entertainment system, televisions, tablets, a digital signage solution throughout the facility and “way finding” kiosks was completed in partnership with Oneview Healthcare and systems integrators Axon.

 

Garry Rhodin, Sony Australia’s General Manager Professional Solutions Division,said, “Stage One of the Lifehouse project involved Sony and Oneview Healthcare providing IPTV and patient services to televisions and tablets. We also installed a comprehensive digital signage solution which feeds the Sony monitors across the Lifehouse facility. The final part of Stage One was providing and installing way finding kiosks that provide patients and visitors with directions via 3D maps of the Lifehouse facility.”

 

Sony’s partnership with Oneview Healthcare and their close collaboration with Axon meant that Stage One of the Lifehouse project went smoothly and ran on time with the patient entertainment system now live and in full use at the patients’ point of care.
