THE SKIN I’M IN GALA DINNER RETURNS IN 2014

Announcement posted by Skin I'm In 07 Jan 2014

A unique and empowering networking experience in the spirit of community and pride

7th January 2014

The Skin I’m In 3rd Annual Gala Dinner will be held 22 February at the Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne.

This event brings together a community of black professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders to network and celebrate the skin we are in.

The keynote address will be delivered by Executive Coach Nesan Naidoo, who is the Global President of Mars Venus Executive Coaching and the CEO of MindModelling Pty Ltd. A highly experienced practitioner, Nesan is an engaging and skilful speaker who is known for his high energy and passion for his craft.

The event will see the launch of the Skin I’m In Foundation, a not for profit organisation, that will provide personal, professional and business mentoring, coaching and training to women of African descent.  Founder Debra Ojumu explains, “The Foundation is very passionate and committed to enhancing and empowering the lives of women who we hope in turn will empower others”.

The theme of the 2014 Gala will be Determination, which serves as a reminder to us all that to succeed we should have the will to not let any challenge be greater than the greatest vision we have for ourselves. This theme will be reflected through the evening’s inspirational speakers and entertainers.

Dr. Adaobi Udechuku, Psychiatrist and Clinical Director of the Raphael Centre Berwick, will stand as the Master of Ceremonies and entertainment will be provided by Wil Sylvince, an African-American comedian who embraces his Haitian ancestry through his performance.  We also have the inspiring Andrew De Silva, 2012 Australia’s Got Talent winner who will open the event with a live performance of his hit single, ‘Miracles.’

Guests of the event will also enjoy a delectable three-course meal, an all-night drinks package, excellent raffle prizes, and ultimately a spirit of community and pride.

This is an advance ticket only event and all are welcome to come along to network and celebrate with us.  Formal attire for this black tie event is required.  For further details and ticket options please visit: http://www.skinimin.com.au/events/2014-gala-dinner.
