Yichang Sanxia Airport selects Intersystems to deliver FIDS

Yichang Sanxia Airport (YIH) in Yichang, China has selected Intersystems RapidFIDS to drive their Flight Information Display System (FIDS) making it Intersystems fourth airport project in China for 2013.

HNA Airports Group Company Ltd (HNA) selected Intersystems to integrate their market leading Flight Information Display System, RapidFIDS after Intersystems successfully implemented RapidFIDS at Haikou Meilan International Airport (HAK) in early 2013.

HNA is the third largest airport investment management group in China operating 16 airports including both Yichang Sanxia Airport and Haikou Meilan International Airport making the YIH project Intersystems second with HNA.

"Our vision is to be the partner of choice for airports worldwide and HNA Airports Group selecting us for a second time represents that vision in action," commented Bruce Allen, CEO of Intersystems.

The Yichang Sanxia Airport project is being delivered in conjunction with NCS China and is on schedule to be delivered in 2014 with works still to be completed on-site including display installations and site commissioning.

"Works able to be done remotely are progressing, we've setup the FIDS servers and applications and completed our factory testing," commented Simon Fu, Intersystems Asia Operations Manager.

"Once we have the green light to perform our on-site works, we will be able to finalise the project."
