‘One search, one click, one library platform’ – now more achievable with Oliver v5

Announcement posted by Softlink Australia 22 Jan 2014

Softlink is excited to announce Oliver v5, the leading knowledge, content and library management solution for education, will soon boast an innovative one click, eBook search and read feature called eZRead. eZRead will be released within the coming month

The new feature supports Oliver’s ‘one platform’ development philosophy and enables users to search, read and download OverDrive eBooks –  all without leaving Oliver’s search interface within the library catalogue.

Softlink Chief Operating Officer, Mr Nathan Godfrey said the enhancement would empower school libraries to improve their student and school community services, streamlining access to eBooks and audiobooks, anywhere, anytime.

“Recent studies from around the world indicate that more than half of children from ages 6-17 say they would read more books for fun if they had greater access to eBooks,” Nathan said.

“Now from the convenience of the Oliver online library catalogue, students, teachers and parents can undertake a single search and access electronic resources including eBooks, audiobooks, eJournals, video and other digital formats.

“Never before has this deep level of eBook integration been available,” he said.  “Softlink is proud to deliver eZRead which will support 21st century digital learning programs and assist students to further engage in reading through modern mobile devices.”

Nathan said as a leading provider of integrated solutions, Softlink continues to develop leading digital content and physical resource management, discovery and delivery solutions to connect students to literacy and learning.
