With vodka and candy floss, exclusive pre-show performances and some extraordinary MCs to compere the whole shebang, a reinvented GABA GlamZone - Uenuku Motu, or Rainbow Island,takes over the premium viewing location at Western Park, Ponsonby, Auckland on 22nd February, guaranteeing those who buy a ticket the best seat in the house to watch the second Auckland Pride Parade.
The GABA GlamZone - Uenuku Motu, hosted by the Gay Auckland Business Association, is the best place to watch the 2014 magical, twilight Parade. GABA President Skot Barnett says: `This year the GABA GlamZone - Uenuku Motu is so much more than just the Parade. The reimagined venue boasts premium-views of the event where you can party the Parade away in a beautiful setting, together with fine food, a glamorous bar and all the amenities you need for a fun and comfortable Parade experience.’
The all-table, one-level seating means that everyone who visits the Rainbow Island will be a VIP with unobstructed views plus reserved standing areas for those wanting to have a closer look from the barriers.
Infomercial Queen Suzanne Paul will team up with our very own Miss Ribena to MC a fantastic pre- Parade entertainment line-up including DJ Wayne, Hilz, Vickie Moss, Nanu (as Lady of the Lakes), Emmerline (as Dolly Parton) and then guide you through the more than 50 entries taking part in the Parade itself. The wonderful Sarah Lambourne and the scintillating Michelle Maitland will also lend their gorgeous helping hands. Our stage production managerGloriousole is coming all the way from Hamilton to keep everything running to Drag Queen perfection. After the Parade stay on in comfort to enjoy the party atmosphere with our after-show featuring DJ Wayne and Emmerline (as Cher).
