PLATFORM FOR INDEPENDENT DESIGNERS LAUNCHED

Some of the world’s leading independent designers have hit Australian shores this month with the launch of retail platform, Independent Designers Emporium (IDE).

The new Australian retail platform will allow online shoppers to buy hard to find and unique gifts, homewares, original artworks, jewellery and accessories direct from the very best Australian and international designers

High profile and artists including Fenton Art Design from the UK, Australia’s Retro Print Revivaland artist Lennie Moe have already signed on to sell through the site with more featuredesigners to be unveiled in coming weeks.

Aiming to showcase emerging independent designers, the IDE website will enable niche designers to market their businesses as well as retail their products.

Website curator, Joleigh Stapleton advised, “Independent designers are the lifeblood of the creative and arts industries and yet it can be very hard for these artists to market their products and sell at a national level and beyond.”

“We are really excited by both the quality and diversity of designers that have signed on to our website which features everything from jewellery and accessories to homewares, giftware and art.”
