New field of human development unleashes wisdom

insight into every day sayings

Sayings such as ‘I’m gutted’ or ‘I’m heartbroken’ are not just metaphors but expressions of what is really going on inside us according to recent neuroscience research.

Executive Coach Bill Lee-Emery said findings show the neural networks in our bodies are far more complex and adaptive than previously understood.

“These neural networks or ‘brains’ in our hearts, head and gut are fully functional and impact the decisions we make or don’t make,” he said.

Mr Lee-Emery said for many people, the connections between these brains are not linked effectively, which leads to people feeling like they are not living to their potential or something is holding them back.

“Think about when time when you’ve said ‘my heart wasn’t in it’ ‘I’ve had it up to here’ or ‘that was gut wrenching’.

“These sayings highlight externally what may be happening internally and offer invaluable insights into what may be happening that is stopping the person from moving forward in life.”

Mr Lee-Emery said mBraining research has linked these ‘brains’ to specific functions, wisdom and intuition every person has access to.

“mBraining research and behavioural modelling shows how understanding the three brains offers unique insights into what influences our daily actions…or inaction,” he said.

“I have found people with cognitive/personality integration issues such as self-sabotage, destructive and addictive behaviour, anger and anxiety, and people with heart and stomach health complaints are suffering because one of these ‘brains’ not working in synergy with the other two.”

Mr Lee-Emery said by helping people to align the three brains, the things holding them back can more easily dissipate.

“I have been training professional coaches, counsellors, educators, leaders, managers, and mentors to help their clients understand how their lack of progress is being stalled by these networks not working together,” he said.

“To be operating at our full potential we need to understand all our systems are linked and when one is not working in harmony, issues arise.”

Mr Lee-Emery said each of the three brains controls important elements of our lives.

“The heart is the boss, it drives our emotions and connects us to our values. Our gut is our risk assessor determining if we will get hurt or be too vulnerable,” he said. He added, “It also acts as our ‘mobiliser’ so we can get things done.”

“The head brain is the centre of our creativity; where solutions are generated to solve everything from small to large issues.”

The key is working out how bring the three intelligences or networks into alignment.

“Aligning the three ‘brains’ can provide a framework or understanding on how to be more productive, make wiser decisions and harness the power of these intelligence systems that are meant to work together.”

Mr Lee-Emery said for people in leadership positions aligning the three networks can produce excellent results.

For people interested in learning more about how they can help their clients, a Certified Coach Training will be held on February 27th, 28th and March 1st and 2nd at Greenmount Beach Resort, Eden Ave, Coolangatta, Gold Coast,Queensland.
