Fifth Quadrant CEO Inducted into Australian Businesswomen’s Network 2014 Hall of Fame

Announcement posted by Fifth Quadrant 07 Mar 2014

Fifth Quadrant, Australia’s largest customer experience strategy, design, innovation and research consultancy, has announced that its founder and CEO, Dr Catriona Wallace, has been inducted into the prestigious Australian Businesswomen’s Network (ABN) 2014 Hall of Fame.

The ABN 2014 Hall of Fame recognises the achievements of female entrepreneurs who have been exemplary in their industries, are trailblazers and demonstrate inspiring and aspiring business journeys.

ABN CEO, Suzi Dafnis, said, “The ABN Hall of Fame is designed to ensure that successful women are given a stage and honoured for their contribution to the economy and the business community.  The women in our Hall of Fame this year were chosen because of their remarkable success and because they are all excellent role models to other aspiring female business owners.  The ABN Hall of Fame also aims to celebrate successful female business owners through sharing their stories, to inspire and empower other female entrepreneurs.”

In addition to establishing and managing Fifth Quadrant, Wallace is a customer experience futurist.  She is chief executive of both Flamingo Ventures, a tech start-up and one of the world’s first vendor relationship management companies and ACA Research, a market research company.

Her impressive professional achievements are complemented by her many not-for-profit endeavours and a deep commitment to the betterment of women and girls in Australia. As the founder of three not-for-profit businesses: Indigo Express; Kids in Philanthropy; and Out and Up, an employment program for women prisoners, asylum seekers and refugees, Catriona’s charitable side projects are both noteworthy and telling of her passionate disposition. The mother of five also mentors both Indigenous and non-Indigenous women.

As CEO of Fifth Quadrant, Wallace was presented with both the 2013 NSW Medium-Sized Business of the Year award and the overall NSW Business of the Year in the Telstra Business Awards. She was also selected as one of Australia’s top eight female entrepreneurs in 2014 by the US-based Springboard Program.

Wallace has also led the development of Corpreneurism in Australia, which aims to develop and drive the use of entrepreneurial innovation methods in Australian business. As a dynamic and international speaker, Wallace has spoken in over 15 countries, and is the most cited industry and media commentator on customer experience in Australia.

“I am delighted to join the ABN 2014 Hall of Fame at a time when women entrepreneurs are emerging as a global force for economic growth.  I believe strong women leaders and a culture that fosters the rise of feminine archetype in business will result in significantly better outcomes for business and the wider community.”
