Presence of IT appoints Thomas Gudman as new Chief Operating Officer

Former Microsoft executive to lead Global Business Services and Operations

Sydney, Australia – 15 March 2014 - Presence of IT (PoIT), a global leader in HR/Payroll and Workforce Management solutions announced today the appointment of Thomas Gudman as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), based in Sydney. Gudman will lead all operational aspects of the business including Shared Services, Sales Operations, HR, IT, Finance, and Legal, reporting directly to David Brookes, CEO, Presence of IT.

Gudman has over 17 years of local and international experience in the Professional Services and IT industry. He joins PoIT after nine years with software giant Microsoft, where he held various leadership roles across corporate, regional and subsidiary levels. In these roles he has worked with many global and national customers and partners on crafting strategy and business transformation, enabling organisations to reach new markets and acquire new customers.

His most recent position was Country Manager of Microsoft Business Applications in Australia, responsible for Marketing, Partner channel strategy, Sales Engagement and Operations.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Gudman worked for Tier 1 consulting companies, including A.T. Kearney and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). He has chaired multiple start-up and innovation networks, and held several advisory board positions.

Gudman holds an International MBA from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark and an MAP degree from INSEAD in France. Throughout his career he has worked in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific, and lived in Denmark, the United Kingdom and France, before moving to Sydney in July 2011.
