Hermione Trumps Bella, Katniss in Battle of the Heroines

The votes are in and the fiesty young lead from the Harry Potter Universe is still number one in the eyes of IGN readers.

With Divergent making it's debut atop the US box office this past weekend, many might expect the new franchise to win out over old favourites in the minds of viewers. The film is the latest in a long line of Young Adult genre fiction movie adaptations featuring female protagonists. However the power of the Harry Potter franchise still rings true, almost 3 years after the final film was released. With over 60% of votes, Hermione Granger has been voted fan favourite over the likes of Twilight's Bella and recent Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.
