Otraco Awards Tyre Management Software Maintenance and Support Contract to iSolutions

Announcement posted by iSolutions International Pty Ltd 28 Apr 2014

Sydney based software company iSolutions International, who are best known for their AMT asset management software, has been awarded the contract to maintain, service and support Otraco’s tyre management software, Otracom.

Otraco is the world leader in off-the-road tyre management. Their credentials are based on a proven ability to extract maximum value from our clients’ operations by reducing tyre operating costs, increasing productivity and enhancing safety.

Otracom is a specialised tyre management software package developed by Otraco to support their tyre management services on hundreds of mine sites across the globe.

iSolutions has been building asset management software for the mining industry for more than a decade and were chosen based upon their proven record of developing niche, high quality, enterprise grade software.

Otraco’s General Manager, Alistair Swanson remarked, “A key factor in our decision was iSolutions’ excellent understanding of software development and support in the asset intensive mining industry. This alone will significantly reduce the time needed for them to get up to speed with Otracom and help deliver an even better product.

The deal also recognises the synergies between iSolutions AMT Asset Management Software and Otracom Tyre Management Software. It is envisaged that Otracom and AMT will be tightly integrated in the near future to provide a complete asset management product for mobile mining customers. iSolutions also has the option to sell Otracom software to third parties under the new arrangement.

This is an exciting addition to our AMT product. A number of our customers have wanted integrated tyre management as part of AMT and now we can provide it.” said Graeme Elgie, iSolutions Chief Executive Officer.

Otraco International Pty Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Downer EDI Mining, a member company of the international engineering and infrastructure management services group, Downer Group.
