DC delivers significant enhancements for its Avaya-specific online quoting, ordering, payment and install base analytics & management systems
Sydney, Australia, 12 May 2014 - Distribution Central Pty Limited, a leader in technology distribution and channel services, has launched V2.0 of its DC ChannelControl online transaction and enablement resource centre specifically for Avaya partners.

Distribution Central (DC) first launched ACDC (Avaya Configurator by DC) in November 2011, a module of the DC ChannelControl online portal designed specifically for the Avaya SME and data product ranges and also includes third party complementary vendors such as Jabra. Since 2011, there have been progressive updates and most recently significant enhancements that deliver channel partners a system that is fast, accurate and intuitive and streamlines the entire process from quoting to asset management.

Through DC ChannelControl, Avaya partners have the ability to view real-time pricing and up-to-date stock levels; build specialised quotes; complete deal registration with additional discount requests; request Proof-of-Concepts; and import designs built in Avaya’s systems with accurate pricing. DC also keeps up-to-date with Avaya’s regularly changing product set, ensuring that the system is always valid and it is near impossible to make a mistake.

Most recently, DC has launched an online ordering and payment gateway that combines online credit purchasing capability, which further fast-tracks the purchasing process. Furthermore, DC’s systems can and have been tailored to specific partner requirements, and combined with our install base and analytics management tool, DC IBAM (powered by iasset.com) partners can manage the product lifecycle of their customers’ assets, never missing out on a customer opportunity.

“We quickly saw the benefits of ACDC in the Avaya channel when we launched three years ago and received positive and constructive feedback that we have taken on board; but more importantly we have continued our investment in the Avaya channel ensuring that our innovation in systems gives our Avaya partners a real competitive edge,” said Nick Verykios, Managing Director, Distribution Central.

“In fact, the recent extension of our distribution partnership with Avaya to Singapore was driven by our track record in systems innovation and the benefits we deliver to the Avaya channel.”

“Arrow Voice & Data has benefited from Distribution Central’s systems since it launched its first quoting configurator – it simplifies the quoting and ordering process, and also ensures accuracy, which means the order process is fast, efficient and streamlined. My team can access the system at any time, with real-time pricing and reports available to them,” says Brend Johnston, Sales & Marketing Director, Arrow Voice & Data.

Statistics to show the effectiveness of our systems are listed below:
•    There are currently 118 partners registered for ACDC with 346 quotes produced on average each month and up to 70 orders invoiced per month.
•    More than $1 million credit card payments have been processed and paid.
•    DC’s Avaya renewal rate is currently at 82%, and in the past year we have transacted more than 1800 renewals for Avaya, on average 130 per month.

V2.0 of DC ChannelControl is available to Avaya partners in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, where DC is also the only distributor that offers an online transaction and enablement resource centre for Avaya partners. The Singapore version was also completely customised to suit local requirements.

Distribution Central has grown from $22 million in FY2007 to more than $250 million in FY2013 in revenue. The company currently employs 120 staff across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and was named the 2011 BRW ANZ Successful Private Business of the Year (turnover greater than $100 million). Its senior management has been recognised through the ARN Hall of Fame (2012 and 2013), Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2009) and CEO Magazine Executive of the Year IT Executive of the Year (2013).
