CHILDREN’S CANCER INSTITUTE SET TO SPARKLE AT SPECTACULAR DIAMOND BALL

Announcement posted by Access Public Relations 15 May 2014

To celebrate 30 years since opening its first lab doors, internationally renowned medical research organisation Children’s Cancer Institute, along with presenting sponsor Electrolux, will hold its signature fundraising event, the Diamond Ball, this year on Saturday August 30.

This year the prestigious Diamond Ball will be held at new venue, Royal Randwick Race, with Sydney’s most influential industry leaders, Children’s Cancer Institute’s corporate partners and loyal supporters coming together to raise funds to put an end to childhood cancer.

The ball, hosted by Mel Doyle and Mark Beretta now in its 21st year, will feature a ‘money-can’t-buy auction’, live entertainment, with delicious food and a boutique wine selection from the Hunter Valley’s ‘Next Generation Vineyards’.

Funds raised from the event will help support Children’s Cancer Institute accelerate its personalised medicine program – the key to improving survival rates of childhood cancer and giving children living with cancer the best possible quality of life.

In 2013, the Diamond Ball raised more than $500,000 for Children’s Cancer Institute, and this year’s goal is $600,000.
