Pacific Rendezvous Resort Motel’s New Website

Announcement posted by Pacific Rendezvous Tutukaka Motel 20 Jun 2014

Pacific Rendezvous is a location in itself, being the jumping off point for the rest of the far north and it is possible to visit the Bay of Islands or the kauri forests on the west coast in a comfortable day’s drive.
The hard-working and friendly team at the Pacific Rendezvous Resort Motel are proud to announce their brand-new website which has been created by Trent Morgan of Bigfish Creative. As Trent puts it he has worked on a really responsive layout which means that the website can adapt to any screen size, from desktop computer through to laptop, tablet and mobile phone. Trent has also tried to make the spectacular imagery the ‘hero’ of the site, intentionally focusing on the magic of the location and, to this end, the Pacific Rendezvous team took all the photos used on the site. Trent has also provided simple navigation for prospective clients/guests when they are looking to book into the resort, making it super easy to select the category they are looking for. By clicking on the Accommodation page, users can select a unit and the customised Google map at the bottom of the page selected will show them exactly where in the resort their chosen unit is situated. The booking system is being handled by Siteminder’s Booking Button and the external listing websites are managed with Siteminder’s Channel Manager. The whole website is extremely user friendly and informative and there is extensive information on such features as The Poor Knights Islands and the Tutukaka Coast beaches, including Matapouri Bay, Woolley’s Bay, Whale Bay and Whangaumu Bay and the famous surf beach, Sandy Bay.

Easily accessed from the Pacific Rendezvous Resort Motel, the Poor Knights Islands are ever present on the horizon of most of the North East coast of Northland, and the easiest harbour by which to access them is Tutukaka. Although the trip will only take a little over 35 minutes, it is a world away as you venture out to this “Middle Earth in the Middle of the Ocean”, which has recently received a substantial amount of TV coverage. As Jacques Cousteau said, “Diving worth crossing the world for, and ranked as one of the top ten dive sites in the world”.

At this time of the year, Pacific Rendezvous’ Ross Leigh is busy promoting off-season specials, which tends to lead to a significant increase in occupancy, and the resort revels in the reputation of being in the centre of the ‘winterless north’. Pacific Rendezvous is a location in itself, being the jumping off point for the rest of the far north and it is possible to visit the Bay of Islands or the kauri forests on the west coast in a comfortable day’s drive.
