Going beyond the screen

Announcement posted by Intersystems Group 20 Jun 2014

Sydney and Darwin both see value in Flight Information Display pages that go beyond the screen to build a positive passenger experience and strengthen brand presence.
Last week Etihad opened its first premium airport lounge in Australia at Sydney International Airport and amongst all the features that attract passengers to the lounge sits the one element that ensures they stay there, stress free, knowing exactly what is happening with their flights - an Intersystems custom designed Flight Information Display page.

"The FIDS page we designed and built for use in the Etihad lounge at Sydney strongly utilises elements from the Etihad lounge design itself including the dynamic brown colour palette and strong wood influences," commented Richard Allen, Services Manager Asia Pacific.

He added, "whilst applying the latest thinking in page design, we've also worked within the existing frameworks at Sydney to ensure a degree of consistency within the larger airport environment."

Meanwhile, Darwin has engaged Intersystems to review and redesign the FIDS pages inline with their larger Terminal Expansion Project (TXP).

"Darwin Airport is going through a transition this year and we saw an excellent opportunity to add value to this process." commented Bruce Allen, CEO of Intersystems.

"It's been many years since Darwin last updated the look and feel of their FIDS pages and as time changes, so do the requirements of key stakeholders like passengers and operational staff."

Darwin International Airport's page project is scheduled for a phased rollout in the second half of the year.
