Juicing provides a quick and easy way to assimilate vital nutrients without burning energy to do so and you will find that when you make fresh juice a daily part of your diet, you will have increased energy, a glowing complexion, strengthened immune system, stronger bones and a reduced risk of disease. Juices can flush toxins from your body, are good for your weight, heart, circulation and overall wellbeing. No matter what your age, it is never too late to start juicing fruits and vegetables and get on track to better health and greater vitality. Alfalfa - Father of all Juices - The word alfalfa means "father of all grains" and when it comes to hair health you can't do better than alfalfa sprouts and carrot juice. 4-5 carrots, 1 cup alfalfa sprouts, chopped parsley (optional)

Apples, Celery and Fennel - 2-3 whole apples, 2 sticks of celery, 1 bulb of fennel

Apples, Pears and Berries - Berries are intensely flavoured vitamin bombs that are high in potassium and contain a remarkable range of other trace elements. 2 whole apples, 1 pear, 12 berries (or as many as you like, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries).

Apple Vegie Blend - 2 apples, cored, 3 carrots, 1 stalk celery. Juice everything in the order given.

Apple Zinger - A terrific breakfast enlivener that perks up the whole system and really wakes up your taste buds. 2-3 whole apples, 1 whole lemon peeled, 1 cm cube of fresh ginger.

Beetroot, Carrot and Orange - Beetroot enriches the blood and provides an excellent tonic for the kidneys. The sweetness of orange juice in this recipe will help you become accustomed to the earthy flavour of beet. 1 smallish beet, 4 carrots, 1 orange peeled.

Beet Treat - Profoundly powerful, this juice will give you sustained energy throughout the day. 1/2 whole beetroot, 2 carrots, 1 whole apple, 1 stick celery, 3 cm section of cucumber.

Carrot High - 5 carrots, 4 sticks of celery, 1 clove garlic.

Chlorophyll Plus - A handful of dandelion leaves, a handful of parsley, a handful of spinach, 1 whole apple, a small bunch of grapes.

Citrus Zinger - 1 orange, 1 grapefruit, 1/2 lemon or lime, 1/2 lime, 1 cm cube of fresh ginger.

Dandelion Plus - Juice as normal and then adds a tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture.  4 to 5 carrots, a handful of dandelion leaves, 1 bulb of fennel, Lemon juice.
