Resilience kicks off Asia Pacific Tour

Announcement posted by Resilience Corporation 31 Mar 2005

Resilience Corporation, a manufacturer of Integrated High Availability (iHA) appliances for firewall and VPN security, is hosting a series of seminars titled "An Insider's Secrets of Network Security" across eight Asia Pacific cities from March 22 to April 14, 2005. The tour will include Sydney on April 12th and Melbourne on April 14th.
The eight-city seminar tour is co-sponsored by Check Point Technologies, the market leader in enterprise and desktop firewall. Resilience's chief security engineer Michael Hamelin will be conducting the seminars across the region. Hamelin will provide insights and guidelines on how to protect computer networks. Among the topics that will be discussed are design and deployment of a high security network, managing traffic inside and outside the network, managing remote users and maintaining network for continuous protection.
Resilience president and chief executive officer Ted Marr said that the objective of the seminar is to educate organisations and provide guidance on how to design and deploy sturdy and secure computer networks.
"This eight-city seminar tour will benefit companies all across the region who have been looking for resilient solutions that provide best in its class protection to complex computer networks in today's increasingly vulnerable world," Marr said.
Hamelin has over 10 years experience in real world security practices with proven hands-on technical knowledge of Check Point, Sun, Linux, Cisco, Foundry, Alteon and Nokia. Areas of expertise include firewalls, IDS and anomalous detection. He has also previously won the RootFu network security competitions at DEFCON and Interzone.
Marr said that Resiliences Asia Pacific region general manager Mark Gamon will also share the power of Resilience Corporation's Linux-based security appliance, Ndurant to organisations that count high availability as an integral business requirement.
Without High Availability your security is at risk. Ndurant delivers easy to deploy Integrated High Availability that is unstoppable, continued Marr. Built on a hardened Linux-based platform, the Ndurant Family delivers must-have security to protect vital IT assets. The Ndurants price/performance figures combined with its superior security features, deliver ROI that is in a class by itself. With Ndurant, Resilience has a razor-sharp competitive edge in the high-throughput market segment.
With Resiliences Continuous Secured Ownership program users can now have an integrated Check Point / hardware solution that has no End-of Life. This is a unique financial advantage in the worldwide firewall / VPN marketplace added Marr.
The next generation Ndurant security appliance combines iHA technology and intelligent simplicity to deliver always up firewall protection with the highest-level security at the lowest total cost of operation.
