Smartsoftware Announces Partnership with Axomic

Announcement posted by Smartsoftware 11 Aug 2014

A new partnership with Axomic, a provider of image management solutions for architects, engineers and construction (AEC), will broaden Smartsoftware’s offering to the professional services marketplace

Perth – 11 August 2014 - Smartsoftware, an international provider of software and service solutions in Australasia, and Axomic, the creators of OpenAsset, the leading digital asset management solution for AEC firms, today announced a partnership across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.

The AEC industry’s profound dependence on images to tell the stories of their projects means an image management solution is one of the cornerstones of an architecture or engineering firm. With OpenAsset creating a library of marketing images, videos and pdfs, managing these digital assets is a simple and pain-free process. OpenAsset’s Integration with Deltek Vision and Knowledge Architecture’s Synthesis makes it simple to use manage photos using existing project information.

“This is a significant and exciting partnership for both Smartsoftware and Axomic,” said Andrew Jones, Director Business Development, Smartsoftware “Adding OpenAsset to our portfolio of professional service solutions will broaden and deepen our capabilities for existing and prospective clients. Out of the box integration with other software solutions that Smartsoftware offer, like Deltek Vision, means we can now help our existing customers solve the challenges of efficient digital image management.”

Axomic Founder + Joint CEO Daniel Emmerson said, “Before OpenAsset, our clients often spend a lot of time searching for and resizing images. With OpenAsset, images are tagged with project information so anyone in the firm can easily search for images matching a desired project type, building technique, location, and more. Automatic resizing, as well as the drag-and-drop feature allow users to quickly insert appropriately resized images from the OpenAsset photo library into InDesign or PowerPoint documents. OpenAsset streamlines image management workflow and boosts productivity for our customers, whilst being easy to integrate with their existing knowledge management systems.”

Daniel has just completed a trip to Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong to kick start the partnership. He added “We’re delighted to have found a great partner in such a dynamic part of the world. We’ve worked with large Australian practices for a few years now but the Smartsoftware relationship really improves our capacity to service and grow our clients in the region.”
