PeopleSoft Appoints New Education Services Manager

PeopleSoft today announced the appointment of Craig Simon to the role of Education Services Manager, PeopleSoft Australia and New Zealand. PeopleSoft Education Services is the only certified provider of PeopleSoft product training, offering over 100 different class options.

Based in Sydney, Mr Simon will direct the region's education team, where his key responsibility will be to manage all aspects of education services, including the delivery of web-based technical training, onsite end user training, customised courses and traditional classroom style tuition to all customers.

Mr Simon will also leverage his extensive industry experience and work with PeopleSoft customers across the region throughout the planning, implementation, production and enhancement phases of the system life cycle. This training delivers the depth and breadth of education required by organisations to quickly leverage PeopleSoft's system capabilities, minimise overall operational cost and achieve maximum return and productivity.

Commenting on his appointment Mr Simon said, "My primary focus will be to develop relationships with existing local customers, whilst providing support and building solid education solutions".

Mr Simon joins PeopleSoft with several years' experience in the education and IT industry. Mr Simon was previously National Sales Manager for Sun Microsystems' Sun Educational Services, where he was responsible for the sales team and all sales activities within educational services. Prior to Sun, Mr Simon was National Education Manager, Australia and New Zealand for Claris Software. In this role he was responsible for the sales and marketing perspective of all Claris products for the education industry, including K-12 and the Higher Education space.
