The Glennie School (QLD) implements Meru Networks 802.11ac wireless solution

August 21, 2014 – The Glennie School, a private K-12 Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Toowoomba, Queensland, has implemented Meru Networks’ 802.11ac wireless solution to provide seamless wireless access to the school’s 250 staff and 850 students.
The school implemented the solution in Term 1 2014, through Wavelink, the Australian distributor for Meru Networks, and Computelec, its reseller and Meru Networks Platinum Partner.
The wireless solution comprises almost 100 AP832i 802.11ac access points (APs) that cover the entire campus and support the school’s one-to-one laptop program and Google cloud environment.
Matthew Russell, IT Manager, The Glennie School, said, “The Glennie School was looking to upgrade to 802.11ac from its previous wireless solution. The school chose Meru Networks because of its experience in providing comprehensive wireless solutions, particularly in 802.11ac.”
Ilan Rubin, managing director, Wavelink, said, “As the local distributor for Meru Networks, Wavelink is seeing increasing interest in 802.11ac wireless solutions.
