A Perfect Day Out With Friends And Family!

Announcement posted by Cameron Damon Media 23 Sep 2014

The 7th annual Melbourne Leisurefest is back bigger and better than ever! There are over three hundred exhibitors showcasing the best products in the caravan, camping and 4X4 industries at Sandown Racecourse from 2-5 October 2014. It's a fantastic day out
There are oodles of activities for the little ones, including face painting, jumping castles, giant parachute games, giveaways and much more. All kids activities will run from Friday 3 October through to Sunday 5 October- so make sure you look out for Gilbert the Gecko who will direct parents and children to the Kids’ Zone.

“This years show is jam packed with activities for young and old, there are also new attractions to the show including the towing track, educational seminars and the Kids Caravanning Explorer’s Club,” said Rob Lucas, CEO of CIA Victoria.

On top of exploring the show and all the great exhibitors, you can also enjoy FREE entertainment. From Friday through Sunday the Jazz Joker three-piece band will be roving around the show playing smooth jazz tunes for all visitors.

For those visitors who love fishing or would like to learn more, the Yamaha Supertank will be at the show everyday. Shows will run at 45-minute intervals and will educate visitors on the use of fishing lures and how these impact fishing.

“The spectacular fifteen metre long and three metre high perspex fish tank will allow visitors to see fish in their natural habitat. Brett Thomson and Michael Cooke will showcase different lures currently available on the market and how fish react to these,” said Rob Lucas.
If you prefer a more hands on experience, then the towing track is for you! This year AL-KO will be showcasing their Electronic Stability Control System. This system is a world first in safety technology recently released to the Australian caravan market.

Murcotts driving school will also be running caravan towing demonstrations on the track, and visitors will be able to ride in the passenger seat to get a feel of how different caravans tow.

Rob Lucas commented, “The towing track is a great new feature at the 2014 show, AL-KO and Murcotts driving school will be running demonstrations throughout the duration of the event. Also at the show we have a free shuttle buggy service to help get you around the show with ease.”

Every visitor at the show will also have a chance to enter the passport competition. To enter, pick up your passport upon entry, get it hole punched at the specified exhibitor stands as you make your way around, and then place your completed passport in the yellow competition bins at one of the gates as you leave the show. You will instantly enter the draw to win a variety of outdoor camping gear.

The Melbourne Leisurefest will be running from Thursday 2 October to Sunday 5 October 2014 at the Sandown Racecourse, this is an event not to be missed!
