Seeley International unveils its ultra-smart MagIQtouch Controller for evaporative coolers

Announcement posted by Leverage PR 01 Oct 2014

Seeley International has announced its latest ‘Australian First’, with the introduction of its ultra-smart MagIQtouch Controller to the Breezair range of award-winning evaporative air conditioners.

Seeley International founder and Executive Chairman, Mr Frank Seeley AM, said the new touch-screen technology had been developed and built in Australia, and was similar in size to a conventional smart-phone.

“Seeley International always strives to keep our customer experience top of mind, and this revolutionary technology offers incredible user-friendliness, because it’s simple to operate, and has such a sleek appearance that it perfectly blends with the décor of modern Australian homes,” Mr Seeley said.

“Smart, sophisticated, intuitive, and with ‘built-in IQ’, the MagIQtouch Controller is our latest inspirational innovation, designed to make life just that much easier around the home,” he said.

“Its energy saving capabilities include a built-in, programmable seven day clock, with up to four separate time periods per day which are able to be programmed in, so people can just ‘set and forget’ it, and in this mode the user can select whatever level of comfort is required – anywhere, anytime.”

“We have also designed the controller so that customers can choose to operate the cooler with a simple display mode, where advanced functionality is hidden, or the more ‘tech savvy’ can opt to have all of the new advanced functionality at their fingertips.”

Mr Seeley said another major benefit of this innovative controller was its energy-saving “night-quiet” mode, which automatically reduces the fan speed to create whisper-quiet nights, while also reducing energy usage and costs.

“When combined with our market leading evaporative air conditioners, the MagIQtouch Controller instantly turns a home into a haven of coolness throughout those sweltering days and nights of even the hottest summers,” Mr Seeley said.

“The MagIQtouch Controller is also unique in that it steps installers through the installation process so that critical steps cannot be missed, and it generates a display of any fault’s full description, rather than just producing a fault code which would then need interpretation,” he said.

The troubleshooting guide, which used to be found only in the instruction manual, can now be accessed by touching the “information” button beside the fault description.

The MagIQtouch Controller will be available across Australia from 1 October 2014.  Plans are already underway to introduce the controller to Seeley’s ducted gas heating and integrated cooling products, meaning that any combination of these products can then be operated with just the one smart touch-screen.
