Dynamic Duo Heading To Darwin To Help Entrepreneurs Boom

A former Darwin resident is returning home, bringing with her a different way for entrepreneurs to grow…and an opportunity to hear the wisdom of a woman who knows how to help others connect with their why.

Michelle O’Hara is the national ambassador for YNetwork, a networking organisation for businesses who are keen to do more than just swap business cards.

Michelle said she is bringing with her Shar Moore, who is founder of YNetwork, to share her story of rags to riches.  “Being able to tap into the knowledge of a successful entrepreneur is priceless.

“Shar lost everything in the Brisbane floods in 2011 and this debilitating moment in her life could have ruined her but she had the fortitude to reinvent herself.”

Michelle said the Y Network is opening a new chapter in Darwin because it is such a thriving area for small business.

“We have chapters across Australia and it just made sense to come to Darwin. It is really exciting to have such a high calibre speaker as Shar come as part of our opening,” she said.

Michelle said the Darwin chapter of YNetwork is lucky to have local businesswoman Kylie Vermeer as the chapter manager.

Shar said she could have gone broke but she wanted more from my life.  “I reached out to my friends and with their support, I have created a network of people who come together every month to share their passion and purpose,” she said.

“I am on a mission to help more people find their why in life. Because when you have a ‘why’, life takes on new meaning.”

Michelle said as small business owners, we often spend so much time working by ourselves. “Attending functions to learn from successful people gives you a different perspective and allows you to connect with other people in the same boat,” she said.

“Shar is going to share how to identify the ideal client and how to create strategic alliances.

“How we do business has changed. No one wants to be pushed at or sold to. So understanding who our ideal client is helps cement stronger business relationships.”
