Mentors Help Small Businesses Push Open Door To Success

Announcement posted by The Audacious Agency 03 Nov 2014

Push Leadership and Business Enterprise Centre have teamed up to deliver 12 months of mentoring and training for small business in the CBD to help accelerate growth and results.

Push Leadership’s CEO Alison Vidotto said working in small business can be isolating, with not a lot of affordable business mentoring support available.

“Far too many Australian companies under perform and fail due to avoidable issues,” she said.

“Australian small businesses often suffer from a lack of support and guidance, leading to a national failure rate of up to 68%. We want to reverse this trend.”

Alison said over 12 months the Push Leadership Roundtable gives people:

·         The skills to accelerate business growth

·         Access to experienced local business mentors

·         Support to work on business, not just IN

·         A small, confidential support group of other like-minded managers

·         Monthly meetings in a central Brisbane Location

·         2 hours a month, over 12 months to maximise business results.

An initiative of the Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) Brisbane Metro, in partnership with RDA Brisbane and Brisbane City Council, the Business Excellent Roundtables - groups of 10 to 12 small businesses meeting monthly under the guidance of a professional business facilitator.

Alison said for a low membership fee, businesses will receive mentoring and support with their challenges, up to date business information and answers, and the opportunity to build a personal business network.

“Often mentoring programs are $500 to $3,000 a month. Many small businesses cannot afford this cost and continue to learn by trial and error. While there is no replacement for hard work, having a helping hand to avoid disastrous mistakes and direction on how to successfully implement growth strategies can make a huge difference to a business’s longevity and profitability,” she said.

“The Roundtable program is only $90 a month and the return on that investment will be invaluable.

“Having a group of people to act as a think tank, helping you to work on your business not just in, is critical to long term growth and success.”

Push Leadership is running the program in the CBD area over 12 months from 13 November and meets for two hours every month.
