EMC appoints four new sales staff
EMC Corporation today announced the appointment of four new hires to support the company's aggressive expansion into the mid-tier storage market.
Steve Beards has assumed the role of NAS Sales Manager EMC Corporation, Australia and New Zealand. Steve brings with him four years experience from EMC rival, Network Appliances, where he was responsible for establishing the company's Victorian operations.
Brett Harris, previously an Account Manager at Computer Associates, has been appointed Account Manager, Northern Region, EMC Corporation, Australia and New Zealand.
Andrew Rootes has made the move from Veritas Software, New Zealand, to take up the position of Channel Account Manager, EMC Corporation, Australia and New Zealand.
Steve Redman, Managing Director, EMC Australia and New Zealand said, "These appointments enhance the existing strength of EMC's sales force adding valuable experience and knowledge of the storage market to the team. This will allow EMC to better service our customers and support our continued expansion into the mid-tier storage market."
The hiring spree is in direct response to EMC's strong first-quarte financial results. The company posted consolidated revenue of $US1.38 billion for the period ending March 30, 2003, six per cent higher than 2002 figures.
