NetStar reinforces the top line in Asia Pacific

Key appointments announced for NetStar Group and NetStar Australia
NetStar Group, a leading IP network and managed solutions provider, today announced a number of key appointments to support the growth of its business in Asia Pacific.
Gareth Chang, who has been appointed NetStar Group Chairman, brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having held leadership positions in a number of large corporations.
Mr Changs previous roles include Chairman and CEO of Star TV, Executive Director of News Corporation, President of Hughes Electronics International, President of Direct TV International, and Corporate Vice President of McDonnell Douglas Corporation. He is a director of Baring Private Equity International, NetStars majority shareholder, also a director of Palm Inc and a member of the Advisory Council of Nike Inc.
NetStar Group has three entities in the region, NetStar Australia, NetStar Singapore (which includes China and Hong Kong) and NetStar Taiwan.
NetStar Australia also has a new leader, with Chris Meager assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr Meager was previously Chief Operating Officer at NetStar Australia, and prior to NetStar Mr Meager was the CFO for EDS in Asia Pacific South.
In addition, James Constable has been appointed to the new role of Professional Services Process Manager, reporting to Mr Meager.
The Australian market offers tremendous growth opportunities for NetStar and I am excited about working with a strong and dedicated management team to lead our company to a successful and profitable future, Mr Meager said.
We have recently refined our direction and strategy to focus on IP networks especially network management security and convergence, he said. In this regard, we have made a strategic business decision to invest resources to strengthen our commitment to providing solutions and managed services around Ciscos IP networking products.
James Constables new role will provide consistency of processes and systems across professional services, which is increasingly important as we grow our business and win more project work, especially around security and IP communications.
