Uniting Church select blueAPACHE for network transformation

blueAPACHE has secured a three-year contract to provide data services to the Victorian and Tasmanian Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA).

Melbourne, Australia – blueAPACHE has secured a three-year contract to provide data services to the Victorian and Tasmanian Synod of the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA).

The $2 million agreement means UCA will gain access to blueAPACHE’s emPOWER MPLS Network across Victoria and Tasmania for a multitude of UCA facilities, including Uniting AgeWell - a significant operator in the growing Aged Care sector.

blueAPACHE’s Managing Director, Chris Marshall stated “We are delighted to have been selected to play such a significant role in the IT transformation at UCA. This is testament to our continued innovation and our ability to deliver world-class technology solutions as a service.”

UCA’s CIO Onni Syrjanen, said blueAPACHE was selected after a rigorous tender process."We felt blue APACHE understood the not-for-profit sector, offered the breadth of services we need and shared similar corporate values."

Consisting of over 80 services, blueAPACHE is bringing together access technologies from a multitude of carriers (including the National Broadband Network) to provide business critical data services throughout metropolitan and regional areas. It is anticipated that the blueAPACHE emPOWER Network will provide the foundation for the delivery of the award winning emPOWER Voice solution to in excess of 2000 end-points over the coming year.
