Distribution Central adds Pure Storage to its ANZ portfolio

Announcement posted by Distribution Central 09 Feb 2015

Distribution Central Pty Limited, a leader in technology distribution and channel services, today announced it will distribute Pure Storage to the Australian and New Zealand channels.

This is the most recent of several new distribution agreements since the expansion of Distribution Central’s storage and data centre portfolio late last year to include contemporary data centre solutions including data centre consolidation, software defined networking, cloud, big data analytics and virtualisation.

“Flash technology has traditionally been an enterprise-only solution but Pure Storage’s unique technology has made flash accessible for a broader range of end-users without impacting performance. Pure Storage offers an excellent opportunity for partners to deliver an advanced yet affordable flash solution to their customers,” said Scott Frew, Executive Chairman at Distribution Central.

“We will take the Pure Storage product range to market with our complete suite of reseller support services, including pre-sales technical support, post-sales field support, configuration, renewal and asset management, training and education programs and channel marketing programs.”

Late last year Distribution Central launched several new vendors in its storage and data centre portfolio including SimpliVity, Fusion-io (acquired by SanDisk), EVault (acquired by Seagate) and Arista Networks. Pure Storage expands the portfolio further with its technology-leading flash storage solutions.

Distribution Central has grown from $1.6 million in FY2004 to more than $275 million in FY2014 in revenue. The company currently employs 120 staff across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Distribution Central was also named the 2011 BRW ANZ Successful Private Business of the Year (turnover greater than $100 million) and a finalist in the 2014 Telstra Business Awards (Medium Business Category). Its senior management has been recognised through the ARN Hall of Fame (2012 and 2013), Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2009) and CEO Magazine IT Executive of the Year (2013 and 2014).
