Aurecon appoints Managing Director for Energy & Resources market

Global engineering, management and technical services provider Aurecon, has appointed Dr Glenn Hooper as Managing Director to lead its Energy & Resources Market, which includes Resources, Oil & Gas, Energy and Manufacturing.

Reporting directly to new CEO Giam Swiegers, Glenn is one of four new Managing Directors appointed to Aurecon’s Executive Committee.

Giam Swiegers said, “These promotions to Aurecon’s Executive Committee support our focus on client centricity and market growth.”

With strong management skills and a sound understanding of the industrial business segment, Glenn will lead the strategic growth of Aurecon’s Energy & Resources Market business globally and will play a pivotal role in continuing to foster and maintain strong long-term client relationships.

Under Glenn’s leadership, the Energy & Resources Market team will deliver consulting, project delivery, operations and maintenance support services to Aurecon’s industrial clients. 

Glenn has served in management positions with Aurecon at a local (Queensland), regional (Asia Pacific) and global level. Most recently he was Service Group Leader for Resources & Manufacturing, where he was responsible for the delivery of services to clients in the resources, oil and gas and manufacturing sectors. Glenn is currently a Director of Aurecon Group Pty Ltd.

Glenn has over 30 years of experience in the planning, design and delivery of consulting services and projects for clients in heavy industry. In recent years, Glenn has worked extensively in front end studies and EPCM delivery of major projects. This work has ranged across mine developments, ports, oil and gas facilities and manufacturing plants.
